My Voice My Health

The project was aimed at promoting and safeguarding the human rights of people with an intellectual disability in health services across Western Australia. MVMH utilises a range of innovative advocacy and education strategies co-designed with people with intellectual disabilities and their families and carers, to deliver accessible resources and services to key stakeholders engaged in metropolitan and regional health service delivery.

A key deliverable of the project was the production of an innovative range of resources that can be used beyond the life of the project ensuring ongoing advocacy outcomes for the target group. In addition to curriculum materials for training and professional development Push Consulting created a Web-App to facilitate easy access to key health-related information grouped according to the key stages of the life-course (Birth, Early Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood and Ageing).identify gaps in provision.

This digital directory offers the option for both qualitative and quantitative feedback and, through an innovative reporting dashboard, content metrics which can be used to provide at-a-glance data to measure gaps in service provision.

Our bid was successful and we began work on the co-design elements of the process in early 2020 just as the COVID-19 global pandemic forced the closure of offices and the sheltering of vulnerable people.

Base on our previous experience with remote working and prototyping we were able to conduct the co-design process and manage the project from brief, through wireframes to virtual prototyping entirely online.

The Web App's first iteration is designed for use on PC's, smart devices and Kiosks. To broaden this usage further the search can be embedded easily into third party websites as can be seen on this page.
