With a 40 year career in public policy and social service delivery in both state and private sectors, Shawn has advised 4 Premiers and directed the Social Policy Unit in WA for 8 years.

Shawn explores solutions calculated to meet the often polarised needs of government and communities through research, insight, social policy, program design, outcome measurement and evaluation. 

By ensuring local knowledge is represented to ensure effective community engagement, service co-design and the tangible measurement of performance and outcomes necessary to ensure the delivery of successful programs and projects.

 

From my earliest days as the CEO of the fledgling Youth Legal Service I saw how the effects of even small improvements in service design and delivery, powered by insight and innovation, ripple outwards.
All too often it is easy to measure the impact of the negative aspects of society in terms of social and economic statistics.
I'm interested in looking beyond this; what worked?, why? and how can we do it better and more sustainably next time?
